Century Tech Spring Challenge
From 3rd March to 30th March, our school took part in the Spring Challenge by Century Tech. This exciting international competition, open to all schools using the Century Tech platform, saw our pupils from Years 2 to 6 engaging actively in their learning. Schools were ranked by size, ensuring fair competition within categories.
Century Tech, a resource we use for homework, revision, and daily learning, encouraged pupils to complete "nuggets" which are short, focused tasks across all subjects. Winners were determined using two key metrics:
-
Nuggets per Active Student: The average number of nuggets completed by active pupils.
-
Engagement Percentage: The proportion of pupils actively participating, relative to the school’s total pupil base.
We are thrilled to announce that our school placed 3rd in the single form entry school category! Competing against schools worldwide, this result highlights the incredible dedication of our pupils and their enthusiasm for consistent, self-directed learning.
Mr McHugh shared his pride in the accomplishment, stating: "Our amazing Spring Challenge result is a testament to the hard work and dedication of all children who use Century. It highlights how engaged and focused children are daily with their additional learning. Coming 3rd in our category is a massive achievement. We are all very proud!'
Congratulations to all our pupils for this fantastic achievement!
