Special Praise for SATs achievement

We’re incredibly proud to receive special praise in the Daily Express, recognising the dedication and excellence of our entire school community!

Last year, 78% of our Year 6 pupils met the expected standard in reading, writing and maths — an outstanding result that places our school 16 percentage points above the national average of 62%. This result reflects the strength of our teaching, leadership, and support systems.

Our pupils' results contributed to Hackney’s achievement, with 76% of Year 6 pupils across the borough meeting the expected standard in all three subjects, placing Hackney joint first in the country.

This recognition is a testament to the hard work of Head Teacher Mr Mills-Bishop, Deputy Head Elizabeth Waite, and our exceptional team of teachers and support staff, who go above and beyond to ensure every child thrives.

It also aligns with recent praise from Ofsted, who highlighted the strength of our curriculum: “The school has developed a curriculum that is designed to give pupils the knowledge and cultural capital they need to succeed in life” - Ofsted 2024.

We pride ourselves on offering a very broad, well-balanced and deeply rich curriculum, with a sharp focus on teaching children the skills and knowledge they need to be successful in life. These results demonstrate the impact of that approach.
