The Big Draw Interview

The Big Draw interviewed Kate Hodgson, our artist educator who secured funding to transform the Children's Art Room. In a recent feature by The Big Draw she shared how she integrates drawing, metalwork, and nature-inspired design into the art curriculum, encouraging our pupils to explore art as a sensory experience.

This approach mixes artistic expression with learning, and helps our pupils develop visual literacy and confidence through mark-making and hands-on creativity. Her work reflects our belief that every child deserves access to meaningful, high-quality education.

In the interview, Kate also reflects on her recent MA in Arts & Learning at Goldsmiths, her journey balancing creative work with parenting, and the importance of teamwork and presence in both family and education.
