Nursery

Our nursery can look after 22 children who are 3-4 year olds. It offers core funded (as applicable) hours between 9am and 3.30pm, Monday-Friday. The nursery is operational for 48 weeks of the year. To help our local community with childcare costs and the cost of living crisis, we are offering a special rate of zero deposit for parents.

Setting

The nursery class is situated alongside our current Reception classroom on the third floor of our building. The space has direct access onto the secured roof terrace, and also shares access of toilet facilities with our Reception class.

Additional security and access measures at both the main entrance to the building (on Arcola Street) and the door off the stairwell into the class are in place. These measures include video access to the class and a number of security-fobbed doors.

Curriculum

The core purpose of our provision is to provide an exceptional start to our families’ experience of the Halley House curriculum, values and ethos. The Nursery class is fully part of our whole school approach and, as such, accesses a range of activities and trips off-site throughout the year. We offer a wide variety of activities for toddlers such as outdoor adventures, specialist Art and PE lessons, weekly music sessions and yoga for children taught by fully qualified and experienced yoga teacher Kate Comer. All this at no extra cost to families.

The nursery provision is overseen by Ms Antionette Mattison, a highly qualified and experienced Nursery Manager, who reports to the Deputy Headteacher and the Headteacher.

To come for a tour and see how happy our toddlers are, email nursery@halleyhouseschool.org.uk to book a time with Ms Mattison.

Here is our HHS Nursery Fee schedule and HHS Nursery Registration form should you wish to apply immediately for a place.

You can register your interest for a future place in our nursery by emailing Deputy Headteacher Liz Waite.
