Puss in Boots: The Last Wish Competition – HHS pupil runner up!

Halley House pupils participated in the recent ‘Create The Card’ competition hosted by the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC), in collaboration with Universal Pictures, to design the official black card for Puss in Boots: The Last Wish. Whole School Christmas Lunch 2022!

For the first time in our school’s history, pupils from Nursery through to Year 6 all sat down together to enjoy a fabulous end of term Christmas lunch. A huge thank you to our catering provider, Harrison’s, for delicious food and excellent service (…as always)!  

The Nutcracker at the Royal Opera House

All our year groups have gone on an Arts-based trip this term, from the English National Opera at the Coliseum to the London Symphony Orchestra at the Barbican. Year 4 went to the Royal Opera House for a festive performance of The Nutcracker in December. Pupils described the absolutely breathtaking venue and their enjoyment of the performance itself. Wonderful!  

Winter Warmer Hampers

Thanks to the kind generosity of West Hackney Parochial Charity awarding us a cost of living grant to distribute through the school, we were able to fund 30 winter hampers for our families, containing hot water bottles, warm blankets, key essentials and even some treats, books and toys for children!

Exotic Plants & Hummingbirds in Hackney!

Last term, our Y4 children, fascinated by the story of Joachim Loddiges and his Hackney hothouse, produced these stunning clay pots in collaboration with Jacquie Chanarin. The pots were beautifully displayed in the shop window of Conservatory Archives over the summer, before being returned to school.
